The search for a 41-year-old teacher ended gruesomely after her decomposing body was found in the Crane, West Coast Demerara (WCD) home she shared with her husband.

Dead is Omega Ault. Her remains were found at around 17:00h on Friday.

They Break News understands that earlier today, the dead woman’s brother, Kevin Ault, went to the Vreed-en-Hoop Police Station and reported that he has been calling his sister’s phone for the past two weeks and has been unable to get in contact with her.

Kevin told Police ranks that he then went to his sister’s home, and after calling out for her for some time and getting no response, he ventured inside the house where she was greeted by an unpleasant smell.

He checked inside the front bedroom where he discovered his sister’s body in a state of decomposition.

He then reported the matter to the Vreed-en-Hoop Police Station after which a party of police ranks visited the scene. Enquiries disclosed that the teacher and her husband, Clarence Farley called ‘Junior’, 41,  were having “problems” in their marriage.

Investigations have so far revealed that about four days ago, Clarence took their three-year-old son to the home of his wife’s sister. He left the lad there after telling his sister-in-law that he was going into the backdam.

Clarence has not been seen since and the Guyana Police Force has now issued a wanted bulletin for him. Meanwhile, the scene at Crane was processed by the police investigators.

The woman’s body was escorted to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where it was officially pronounced dead on arrival.

Her remains are being stored at the Ezekiel Funeral Home. A post mortem examination will be conducted on her body in the new week.
