An unidentified man was fatally stabbed by a man during an argument. According to a Police release, the incident took place around 19:30hrs on Saturday at Longden and Commerce Streets, Georgetown.
Enquiries revealed that the now deceased man is between the age of 35 and 40. He was involved in an argument with another man during which he was dealt several stabs with a pointed object.
The victim fell to the ground and the suspect ran away and made good his escape.
The victim was seen with his intestines protruding and what appeared to be bloodstains. He was pronounced dead by Emergency Medical Technicians.
His body is presently lying at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home awaiting identification and a post mortem examination. Checks are ongoing for the suspect as investigations continue.
