A teenager who is accused of felonious wounding was on Wednesday charged and released on bail.
Nathaniel Gordon,18, called “Buckboy” of First Phase Kwakwani Housing Scheme, Upper Berbice River, appeared via Zoom before Magistrate Wanda Fortune at the Linden Magistrate’s Court.
He was not required to plead to the indictable charge which stated that on October 31, 2021, at Kwakwani Park, Upper Berbice River, he wounded Ishrim John called “Boy” with the intent to maim, disable, disfigure or cause grievous bodily harm.
The Magistrate released Gordon on $60,000 bail with the condition that he reports to the Kwakwani Police Station every first Monday of the month until the hearing and determination of his trial. He was also placed on a bond to keep the peace. His next court date is November 30 for fixture.
