Two men who are accused of burglary were on Friday remanded to prison for the offence.
Azad Mohamed, 19, called ‘Sonny man’ and 27-year-old Rasheed Mohamed called ‘Saltfish’ both of Annandale North, East Coast Demerara appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court.
Both men were arrested and charged with burglary contrary to Section 233 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.
They pleaded not guilty to the charge and were remanded to prison until January 10, 2022.
Meanwhile, Rasheed Mohamed was also charged with robbery under arms contrary to Section 222 (c) of the Criminal Law (Offences Act), Chapter 8:01.
He, too, pleaded not guilty to the charge and was remanded to prison.
