His Excellency President Irfaan Ali was briefed on the operations of the ultra-deepwater drillship Noble Tom Madden, during a site visit on Tuesday.
The Head of State and his delegation, including the Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Vickram Bharrat, and the Director of Projects at the Office of the President, Marcia Nadir-Sharma were also given a tour of the vessel.
The Noble Tom Madden drillship arrived offshore Guyana in October 2018. The 752 ft vessel was contracted by ExxonMobil Guyana to undertake exploration activities in the 6.6 million acres Stabroek Block.
Earlier in the day, President Ali also toured the floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel, Liza Unity, and engaged with the crew, including Guyanese workers, on board.
