Motorcyclist struck down at No. 3 village

A motorcyclist is now a patient at the Fort Wellington Hospital after being struck down by a motor vehicle along the Number 3 Village, West Coast Berbice (WCB) today.

According to an eyewitness, the man was struck down just next to the Cotton Tree Health Center at about 3:30 hrs by a Hilux Surf bearing registration number PTT 5255.

Following the accident, passersby attempted to get the victim’s identity, but this proved futile.

Nevertheless, the injured man was picked up and rushed to the Fort Wellington Hospital, where he was admitted as a patient.

An investigation into the accident has since been launched.
