A 44-year-old female vendor was on Saturday robbed by two unidentifiable armed men at National Avenue, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown. The incident occurred at around 20:30 h.
They Break News understands that the victim was selling confectioneries when the two perpetrators on a motorcycle came from a western direction and stopped at her stand to purchase items.
The pillion rider then came off the motorcycle, approached the victim, pointed a handgun at her, and demanded her to hand over her valuables
Fearful for her life, the woman handed over her cell phone which is valued at $55,000, and $15,000 in cash. Following the robbery, Police made checks for the suspects but did not find them.
Investigations are ongoing.
