Owners of the Best Buy Variety Store located at Lot 21 Public Road, Non Pariel, East Coast Demerara estimate that they lost millions as a result of a heist suspected to have happened sometime on Wednesday night.
One of the employees told They Break News that the robbers entered the building through a hole they cut in the zinc roof and took away cameras, DVRs and other devices as well as an undisclosed sum of money.
At the time of the robbery, the building had no security. It wasn’t until Thursday morning when workers arrived for work that they realized the store had been ransacked. Since then, a police report has been filed, and inquiries are still ongoing.
