The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has issued a wanted bulletin for 24-year-old Samorea Mitchell concerning the murder of Delroy McKenzie and the attempted murder of Calvin Daly, which occurred on July 17.
Mitchell of Lot 716 Phase One ‘B’, Wisroc, is wanted for questioning as the Police continue their investigation into the deadly shooting. McKenzie, 23, and Daly were shot while on their way to visit a “female friend” in Linden on July 17, 2021.

They Break News had reported that the duo arrived in Linden via public transportation at about 21:00 hrs on the day in question and went to Church’s to purchase chicken.
The slain 23-year-old then contacted the female friend, who told him to join a boat at the last stelling at the McKenzie shore. On arrival at the Wismar shore, the deceased contacted the female, and he was told to walk up the road to Sunflower Street.
They then went through the street further down to a bridge, and a short distance in the cross street, the female friend, contacted them and told him to turn around since she will be sending a silver wagon to pick them up.
The duo walked out of the street where the silver wagon car turned around, and as McKenzie approached the vehicle to open the back door, a male opened the door and started to shoot at him while another male came out of the front passenger seat and opened fire too.
Daly ran for cover, leaving McKenzie behind. According to Daly, the car had three male occupants at the time, but he did not recognize any of them. The three men joined the car and continued to drive in a southern direction towards Silver City Street.
The following day, a Silver-grey Fielder wagon, which is suspected to be used in the Linden shooting, was found burnt out at Blue Lake.
