A 25-year-old logger was on Wednesday sentenced to 12 months behind bars after he pleaded guilty to a wounding charge.
Ishrim John called “Boy”, a logger, of Kwakwani Park, Upper Berbice River, appeared via Zoom before Magistrate Wanda Fortune at the Linden Magistrate’s Court.
John pleaded guilty to the charge which stated that on October 31, 2021, at Kwakwani Park, Upper Berbice River, he unlawfully wounded Nathaniel Gordon called “Buck Boy”.
The Magistrate after taking his guilty plea sentenced him to 12 months imprisonment.
