Lindon Fraser, 59, a farmer, of 1KM Rockstone Road, Upper Demerara-Berbice was on Thursday charged with fraudulent conversion. Fraser appeared via Zoom before Magistrate Wanda Fortune at the Linden Magistrate’s Court.
He was arrested on November 11, 2021, and charged with the offence allegedly committed on June 1, 2021. The charge was laid under section 197 (1)(a) of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act.
Fraser was not required to plea to the indictable charge and was placed on $40,000 bail. His next court appearance is on January 14, 2022.
