A 41-year-old man of Kaneville, East Bank Demerara (EBD) is now in Police custody after he was busted with 229 grammes of cannabis sativa at his home. The bust was made at around 03:00 hours on Friday.
Police ranks acting on information went to the suspect’s home and conducted a search. The ranks unearthed a black plastic bag in a wardrobe, which when opened in the presence of the suspect, contained several small and medium-sized ziplock bags containing a quantity of leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis sativa.
The suspect was told of the offence committed and cautioned in accordance with the Judge’s rule. He is presently in custody assisting with the investigations
