A reception was hosted on Friday evening to welcome Turks and Caicos-based InterCaribbean Airways to Guyana. Public Work Minister Juan Edghill attended the reception.
It was announced that the airline will be offering daily direct flights between Georgetown and Barbados commencing on December 1, 2021.
Minister Edghill affirmed the PPP/C Government’s vision of having Guyana become a strong tourist destination; one bursting with investment opportunities and a hub for business.
The event was attended by Board members of the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA), officials of the Private Sector Commission, Aviation Experts, Government Officials, and stakeholders of InterCaribbean Airways. The function was held at the Roraima Duke Lodge in Georgetown.
