GUYANA RESTAURANT WEEK KICKSTARTS ON FRIDAY

With two new entries this time around, eighteen restaurants are eager to provide an array of new cuisines coupled with tantalizing flavours at this year’s second leg of Guyana Restaurant week.

As is customary, Guyana Restaurant Week has been launched to commemorate Tourism Awareness Month which is currently being observed. At a cost of $3000 for lunch and $5000 for dinner at any of the participating restaurants, persons can be able to dine and unwind for ten days, from November 25 to December 4. President of the Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana, Harrinand Persaud has said that the event provides an opportunity for chefs to demonstrate their culinary skills on a larger platform.

Participating in the event for the first time this year are the Eco-Garden International Vegetarian Restaurant and Tribe Gastronomic Lounge.

Guyana Restaurant Week has become a staple in the tourism industry since it was first launched in 2014 with the aim of promoting domestic tourism.

The event is usually held twice a year, once in June and November. Some of this year’s participating restaurants include the New Thriving Chinese Restaurant, Mango Walk Restaurant and Lounge, Taco Loco Mexican Restaurant, Bistro Café and Bar, Bistro Wine and Champagen Bar, Hibiscus Restaurant, and Palm Court
