At around 21:35 h on Sunday, a party of policemen on patrol duty in the Albion, Corentyne, Berbice station district observed a large number of vehicles parked on both sides of the Albion Public Road. There was also a large crown within and around a food court restaurant and bar located on the said road.

The ranks immediately went to the proprietor of the business place and ordered him to close off and disperse the crowd.  He was arrested and escorted to the Albion Police Station and placed into custody for breaching the emergency guidelines by hosting a social activity beyond the stipulated 21:30 h.

The business owner was also charged with other violations.  He was later released on bail and is scheduled for court on September 21, 2021. The said location has been highlighted to the Police Commander as a prime spot where night shift workers are robbed whenever they were heading to and from the estate.
