A 34-year-old man was on Monday charged and remanded to prison on an attempted murder charge.
Melroy Barry of Lot 32 Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara (ECD) appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court.
The charge stated that in June 2021, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded the hairdresser with intent to commit murder.
He was not required to plead to the indictable charge. The accused was remanded to prison until January 11, 2022, for statements.
