A 24-year-old man was on Monday remanded to prison after being charged with illegal firearm and ammunition possession.
Kevin Barnwell called ‘Bull’ of 35 Supply Mahaica, East Coast Demerara, appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
Barnwell was arrested on September 9, 2021, and charged with possession of firearm and ammunition without licence contrary to section 16(2) (a) of the Firearm Act Chapter 16:05.
He denied both charges after they were read to him.
The Magistrate remanded him to prison until October 15, 2021.
