The body of Guyana-born New York Police Department (NYPD) Officer, Gladstone Haynes who went missing at the Orinduik Falls last Sunday, was found on Wednesday morning.
They Break News understands that the 41-year-old man went missing while swimming in the popular tourist site. Haynes, who lived in Brooklyn, was in Guyana on vacation.
Following his disappearance, a search operation was launched by the Guyana Defence Force’s Special Forces Unit.
According to reports, Haynes was among a group of tourists who visited the Orinduik Falls which is in Region Eight (Potaro-Siparuni).
The New York Post reported that Haynes joined the NYPD in 2005.
