A 30-year-old housewife of Corentyne, Berbice was chopped to death earlier on Monday by her reputed husband who has since reportedly confessed to the crime.
The dead woman has been identified as Oma Virasamy. Her partner, Mahendra Paltoo is in Police custody assisting with investigations.
They Break News understands that Virasamy had accused her spouse of being unfaithful and this led to a quarrel between them.
During the argument, the man claimed that his wife pushed him which led to him chopping her about her body with a cutlass.
