A 40-year-old businessman and his 38-year-old housewife and another male were on Friday allegedly robbed by two-armed motorcycle bandits at Better-Hope, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
The incident occurred at about 8:45 hrs, and the victims were robbed of $300,000 cash, two iPhone 12 Pro Max valued at $320,000 each, along with one black Samsung Tablet valued at $80,000.
Reports are that the victims were in their yard when the suspects approached them on a blue motorcycle.
One of the suspects who was allegedly armed with a handgun ran into the yard demanding valuables and told the victims to lay on the ground while he took their monies and gadgets.
The suspect then re-joined his accomplice before discharging around, making good their escape. The two men are currently being sought by the police as the investigation continues.
