Andrew Ridley, 29, of Sussex Street, Albouystown, Georgetown has been remanded to prison for discharging a loaded firearm with intent.
He appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts where he pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Ridley was subsequently remanded to prison until August 10.
He is accused of committing the offence on 26-year-old Terrence Basteani of Albouystown, Georgetown on July 10.
The incident occurred at around 06:45h at School Street, Albouystown.
The victim was reportedly at a stall making a purchase when Ridley approached from behind on a bicycle and started to threaten him.
Ridley subsequently whipped out a silver gun from the waist of his pants waist and allegedly fired several shots at Basteani.
Basteani, who ran away, did not receive any injuries. Ridley, who had escaped, was subsequently apprehended by Police ranks on July 11.
