A 48-year-old security guard was slapped with a rape charge on Monday when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court.
Glenroy McKenzie also known as ‘Tall Man’ or ‘Mac’, who resides on the East Coast of Demerara was
Charged with the offence of rape of a child under 16 contrary to Section 10(3) of the Sexual Offences Act Chapter 8:03. He was not required to plead to the indictable charge.
The Magistrate released him on $150,000 bail with the condition that he reports to the Vigilance Police Station every Saturday until the hearing and determination of the preliminary inquiry (PI).
He is expected to make his next court appearance on December 02, 2021.
