Three men were arrested after Police ranks intercepted a silver-grey Toyota Sienta motorcar and found 30 pounds of marijuana. The discovery was made around 09:10hrs on Tuesday in the vicinity of Vlissengen Road and Brickdam, Georgetown.
According to information, ranks acting on information intercepted a motorcar HC 4153 at the said location with the driver and two other occupants.
A search was conducted in the car and 28 parcels wrapped with transparent plastic containing leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis were found in the back seat and the trunk.
The men were told of the offence committed, cautioned, arrested, and escorted to Brickdam Police Station along with the suspected cannabis and the motor vehicle.
The suspected cannabis was weighed in their presence and same amounted to a little over 13 kilogrammes. The suspects are presently in custody assisting with the investigations.
