22-year-old Stephanie Gamell who is accused of murdering her grandmother, Angelica Agatha Gamell, has been admitted to a Psychiatric Ward. Police say she was examined by doctors at the Suddie Public Hospital and referred to the psychiatric ward on account of experiencing ‘Postpartum’ symptoms.
75-year-old Angelica Agatha Gamell was found at her Charity, Essequibo Coast home with her throat slit and face covered in blood at around 04:00hrs on Sunday. Stephanie reportedly spent the night before at Gamell’s house with her one-month-old baby.
An autopsy is slated for Gamell on Thursday.
