Three young siblings who perished in house fire laid to rest

Tracy Flur was inconsolable as she paid her last respects to her three young children at the Lyken Funeral Home in Georgetown

Minister of Human Services and Social Security, Dr Vindhya Persaud on Tuesday attended the funeral service of the three young children who perished in the fire that gutted their home at Barnwell, East Bank Demerara on May 26, 2022.

Minister Persaud expressed her condolences to the mother, family and friends in attendance. The Ministry of Human Services  and  Social Security provided financial support for funeral arrangements. Additionally, the Ministry is committed to provide psycho social and any other additional support required.

Minister of Public Service, Sonia Parag also attended the funeral offering support and condolences. 

In the tragic incident, the three young children, ages one, six, and eight respectively, were burnt to death after their home caught fire during the wee hours of Thursday. 

They have been identified as Zhlia Flur, Trayshon Kippins, and Timothy Kippins. 

They Break News understands that the children– two boys and a girl– were left home alone by their mother, Tracy Flur who was at work. The Guyana Fire Service has since revealed that the cause of the deadly fire was electrical.
