A 27-year-old man was today remanded to prison for allegedly stabbing his younger brother to death during a heated argument on Friday last.
Quincy Chase, of Norton Street, Werk-en-Rust, was hauled before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and was not required to plea to the indictable charge.
The charge alleged that on June 25, 2021, at Cummings Street, Bourda, he murdered Paul Anthony Chase, 24.
The Chief Magistrate remanded him to prison until July 22, 2021.
Reports are that on the day in question, the two men had visited their mother’s home in Cummings Street for breakfast. An argument erupted between Quincy and his mom, after which, he cuffed her to her left eye.
Paul then intervented but was stabbed multiple times by Quincy.
